My trip to London
Last summer I was in London (U.K). I was studying English for twenty days.
This experience was very important for me, because I did this trip by my own and I had to do everything by myself. At the beginning I had to contact with the school and I had to speak in English from the first moment, because I wanted to do a reservation in this course.
After that, I began to look for information about accommodation. Like the most important for me in this moment was speaking in English I thought that the best accommodation was to live with a British family or sharing flat with people from over the world but not Spaniards. I was thinking of this for a lot time, but at the end I decided to live sharing flat with people from different nationalities. Now I think that this was important for me because I met many people who today are my friends, because we spend all time together. In the morning went to the same English class, in the afternoon we used to have lunch in the same shop coffee or in the Embankment park, and in the evening we used to do sightseeing. When we got home, we used to cook the dinner and we spoke about the ingredients in the foods.
Before this trip I also began to look for information about the London. I need to get a lot information about the place where I was going. In this way I could visit the most interesting places during my stay. Because of that I visited a lot of famous places with my friends like Big Ben Buckingham palace, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Saint Paul’s cathedral, British museum, National Gallery, Regent Park St James Park, House Parliament, Madame Tussauds museum, science museum. Also this trip was important for me because I booked my ticket to fly to London by internet. In other trips I used to book the fly by travel agency, but this time I did it on line by internet. I think that it’s very comfortable because you don’t have to go out your home. Even you can see your seat in the aeroplane. I think that this is a big progress. Like I booked my fly early, I might chose my seat, then I got a seat near the window and I enjoyed seeing great sights.
In conclusion this trip has been very important in my personal and professional life, because I had improved my level of English and I had met many people who today are my friends. We use to communicate in English by e-mail or chat.
I would like to repeat this experience in the future. Travelling to abroad is important for improving my level of English and meeting other cultures and people.
